“Jimmy Moon from ‘dahntahn!’”

The voice of the Griffins’ public address announcer rattled through the bleachers at the Salvitti Gymnasium at the Katherine Mabis McKenna Center.

At a Wednesday night home game for Seton Hill men’s basketball, the Griffins were facing one of the top teams in the PSAC, Cal U.

What made this night typical was something that had started to become a trend for the Griffs — Moon leading the team in scoring or rebounds.

What made this night special? Moon led the team in both.

The patented Jimmy Moon double-double from his not-so-long-ago Serra Catholic days had started to appear on college stat sheets, on this night, 16 points and 10 rebounds against a tough Cal U squad.
