Robert H. “Bob” Dragan, 82, of Monessen, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2020, at his home. He was born on Dec. 26, 1937, in Monessen, the son of the late Henry and Anne Adams Dragan. Bob was a 1955 graduate of Rostraver High School and was a retired operating engineer, having been a life member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 66 in Pittsburgh. He was a member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 954, Elks Lodge 773, Eagles Aerie 2399 and Fayette City American Legion. Bob served his country during the Korean War with the U.S. Army. Bob looked forward to going to Florida every winter and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his two sons, Robert J. Dragan of Coral Springs, Fla., and Jeffrey S. (Cara) Dragan of Frederick, Md.; grandson, Dominic Dragan; granddaughters, Sara Ruth (fiancé, Ash Duarte) Dragan and Kathryn Emily Dragan; great-grandson, Dominic Reign Dragan; three nephews, James (Nancy) Brizzi of Johnstown, Pa., Jason Brizzi of Monessen, Kevin Americo of Charleston, W.Va.; and brother-in-law, Peter Kent (Vangie) Americo of Charleston, W.Va. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Julanne “Judy” Americo Dragan; a sister, Gloria Brizzi; a daughter-in-law, Stefanie Dragan; and a nephew, Kent Americo. Friends will be received in DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICES, 441 Reed Ave., Monessen, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday beginning with a 9:30 a.m. Panachida in the funeral home, followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Rostraver Township. The following services will be conducted Tuesday in the funeral home: K. of C. Council 954 prayer service at 7 p.m., Monessen Elks 773 service at 7:30 p.m. Condolences accepted for the family at www.dalfonso-billick.com.
