Justina E. Bruchwalski Baron – Rostraver Township

Justina E. Bruchwalski Baron, 72, of Rostraver Township, went with the angels on Jan. 24, 2020. She was born in Pittsburgh to the late Bernard and Justina Walter Bruchwalski. Justina was a member of St. Sebastian Church, Belle Vernon. She graduated from St. Basil’s High School in Carrick and afterwards worked at Colonial Supply Co. She retired as ticketing manager from the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. She is cherished and survived by her husband of 44 years, Andrew E. Baron; her children, Gabriel Baron of Henderson, Nev., Geoffrey Baron of Canonsburg, and Gina (Kenneth) Amos of McMurray; her grandchildren, Andrew Baron, Kelcie and Kassidy Amos; and her canine companion, Gretel. She is also survived by her brother, John (Theresa) Bruchwalski, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bernard (Helen) Bruchwalski; and sisters, Bernice (Robert) Welsh and Anna Mae Bruchwalski. Justina was devoted to her children, guiding them through their activities as a scouting den mother and ballet mom. She continued her love and devotion to her grandchildren. She enjoyed her hobbies with friends, flower gardening, cookie club, shopping, embroidery and watching ballet. She was a longtime Penguins fan, where she met her husband as season ticket holders in 1971. Her fondest memories were of her yearly vacations since birth with parents and family to Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayers of transfer will be held at noon Monday in the funeral home, followed by funeral Mass at 12:30 p.m. at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Michael J. Crookston as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the Rosary for the departed soul of Justina Baron at 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Justina’s name to pancreatic cancer research online or at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Development Office, UPMC Cancer Pavilion, Suite 1B 5150 Centre Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15232.
