Elizabeth Reisinger Spragg – Charleroi

Elizabeth Reisinger Spragg, 77, of Charleroi, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020, in her home. She was born Aug. 21, 1942, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Carl and Anna Schallenberger Snyder. Liz was a graduate of Carrick High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Pittsburgh. For several years, she was employed at the West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, where she was a critical care nurse and nursing supervisor. After raising her children, Liz went on to further her education, obtaining her master’s degree in counseling at California University of Pennsylvania. She was employed at the Partial Mental Health Clinic in Monessen and then at the Area Agency on Aging in Charleroi. After retiring, she was the office manager for her daughter, Elizabeth, at Bliss Dermatology in Carroll Township. She enjoyed attending Journey By Grace Church in Rostraver Township. Liz had a passionate love for her family and was quite the independent women who was always caring for others. She had a beautiful smile, quick wit, great style and enjoyed her feline friends. She will be immensely missed by her family and friends. She is survived by two sons and a daughter, Bill Reisinger, D.O., and wife Jill of North Canton, Ohio, Elizabeth Reisinger, D.O., and significant other Ken Bliss of Venice, Fla., and Carl Reisinger and wife Jennifer of South Huntingdon; eight grandchildren, Paxton, Will, Weston, Carli, Erin, Levi, Jake and Liza; sister, Anne Snyder of Carrick; and her former husbands, William E. Reisinger, who survives, and Walter “Sandy” Spragg, who preceded her in death. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, with the Rev. William Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery, Rostraver Township.
