After getting off to a ripping start, the Belle Vernon Area girls basketball team had visiting West Mifflin right where it wanted them.
But it was deja-vu all over again for the young Leopards, as they committed 17 second-half turnovers and watched the Titans pull off a devastating come-from-behind win, 38-34, on the Leopards’ home floor in Section 3-4A play.
“We were pretty positive in the locker room after the game, but yeah, we have some work to do,” BVA head coach Ronnie Drennen said. “We’ll get better. I believe in these girls, I really do. The biggest thing we have to fix is us. We didn’t execute tonight.”
