Rose C. Badstibner – McKeesport

Rose C. Badstibner, 104, of McKeesport, died Jan. 18, 2020, at Kane Regional Medical Center. Born Dec. 30, 1915, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late George and Ida Robertson Glaub and the wife of the late Herman Badstibner. Rose retired from the G.C. Murphy Company and enjoyed doing volunteer work for Meals on Wheels. Rose attended the McKeesport Alliance Church and was active in her Christian faith. In her free time, she loved to bowl. Rose is survived by her step-son, John “Jack” (Judy) Badstibner; many step-grandchildren; many step-great-grandchildren; nephews, Bill Spang of White Oak, Don Spang of McKeesport, Herbert Spang of Florida, Kenneth (Isabelle) Gleditsch of McKeesport, Herbert (Karen) Gleditsch of Indiana, Pa., and Carl (Donna) Gleditsch of Ohio; nieces, Rose Miskalis of McKeesport and Joan (Vince) Aiello of White Oak; as well as many great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Barbara Baur; sisters, Leona Spang, Addie Glaub, Edith Gleditsch and infant, Mary Glaub; brothers, Albert and William Glaub; and nephew, Tom Spang. Family and friends will be received at JAYCOX-JAWORSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park Mausoleum.
