Jennie R. Johnson – Fallowfield Township

Jennie R. Johnson, 99, of Fallowfield Township, passed away on Jan. 19, 2020, at Dunlevy Manor, where she had resided for the past 3 1/2 years. She was born in Charleroi to the late John and Sophie Pawlikowska Sokolosky. Jennie was a devoted housewife and loving mother. She loved baseball, especially the Pirates, and had gone to every baseball game of her sons when they were growing up. Surviving are her daughter, Eileen Hoffman; Sons, Samuel W. Johnson and wife Margaret, Ronald Johnson and wife Linda and Gary Johnson and wife Colleen; grandchildren, Laura Hoffman Williams and husband Walter Joseph Williams, Edgar V. and wife Donna Hoffman, Samuel W. Johnson Jr., and wife Claudette, Jodi Hushon and husband Dean, Brian and wife Michelle Johnson, Karla and Husband John Kalichuk, Trisha and husband William Paronish and Michael Johnson; great-grandchildren, Lindsay Williams Winslow and husband Greg, Joseph Williams, Kylie Hushon, Justin Hushon, Regan Johnson, Lucas Johnson, Madeline Johnson, Henry Johnson, Olivia Johnson, and Brielle Paronish; nieces and nephews, Adele Marcini Zilka, Nathan Marcini, Sandi Sokolosky McKee and Kevin Sokolosky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel H. Johnson; sister, Helen Marcini and her husband Nathan; brother, Henry Sokolosky and his wife Gladys; son-in-law, Edgar E. Hoffman; and a nephew, David Sokolosky. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, where friends will be welcomed from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday morning. Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
