DeAngelo hits 1,000 in Jaguars’ loss to Hillers

Two days after offensive struggles hindered Thomas Jefferson in a loss to Chartiers Valley, those same woes reared their ugly heads Monday night.

Missed opportunities combined with a potent second-half offensive effort by Trinity spelled doom for the Jaguars as they dropped a 61-50 decision to the Hillers in a key Section 1-5A matchup that included a pair of 1,000 point honorees inside Hiller Hall.

“We played a great first half, but in this sport, there are two halves and I felt that we did not put together four great quarters,” said Thomas Jefferson head coach Lisa Fairman, whose team was outscored 41-30 in the final 16 minutes.

“We cannot have any lapses against the great teams that we play. We had missed opportunities and didn’t get hungry enough on the offensive boards.”
