Joseph T. Lupetin, 84, of Monongahela, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2020, in his home. He was born July 26, 1935, in New York, N.Y., the son of Joseph and Albina Bambino Gambirasi Lupetin. After the death of his father in 1949, Joseph moved to New Eagle and graduated from Monongahela High School, class of 1953. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years as an aviation structural mechanic; duty stations included service on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Forrestal CVA-59. After serving in the military, he was employed at U.S. Steel, Clairton Works where he retired after 55 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Tempest Lupetin, with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage on Sept. 12, 2019; son, Robert Dorazio and wife Mary of Oceano, Calif.; two daughters, Cynthia Millard and husband Paul of Marshall, Va., and Sherri Mahoney and husband Tommy of Nokesville, Va.; four grandchildren, Adam Millard and wife Katie, Rachelle Janke and husband Ashton, Sarah Millard and Shannon Lupetin. As Joseph was an avid reader, memorial contributions may be made to the Monongahela Area Library, 813 W.
