Two men have been charged in connection with a bar fight in McKeesport last month that nearly turned fatal.

Brock Juwan Cochran, 29, of McKeesport, was arrested by Allegheny County police Thursday night. Late Friday, police were still searching Rashad Rowe, 40, also of McKeesport. Both men were charged Thursday with felony counts of criminal attempt-criminal homicide and aggravated assault following a fight at Double S Saloon, according to ACPD Lt. Venerando Costa.

Costa said via email Friday afternoon that Rowe and his unidentified girlfriend got into a physical altercation at the bar, located on the 600 block of Evans Avenue, shortly before 2 a.m. Dec. 20.

A 34-year-old male who was in the bar and has not been identified attempted to break up the fight and was struck in the head with a glass bottle, according to Costa.

“Brock Juwan Cochran and Rashad Rowe then physically assaulted the 34-year-old victim,” Costa said. “The victim was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.”
