A Rostraver Township man is accused of beating his girlfriend after leaving a bar in the township early Thursday.

Braxton M. Stedman, 36, of Debbie Lane, is charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment.

Stedman was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Charles M. Christner in Rostraver Township and jailed in lieu of $10,000 bond.

In an affidavit of probable cause, Rostraver Township police said the victim, Debra Hardy, was at an area bar and restaurant when her live-in boyfriend, later identified as Stedman, walked in  and demanded she leave.

Police said Stedman pulled her and the chair she was sitting on to the floor before grabbing her wrist and dragging her to the exit.

Hardy allegedly got up and tried to push her way back to the bar, but was again grabbed by Stedman, who pulled her to the car by both wrists.
