Ronald L. Ermlick – Charleroi

Ronald L. Ermlick, 69, of Charleroi, passed away on Jan. 5, 2020, peacefully at home. Ron was born in North Charleroi, on Feb. 21, 1950, the natural son of Charles Captain Jr., adopted son of Ross E. Ermlick and mother Rhenna Davis Ermlick. Ron graduated from Charleroi High School Class of 1968. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. Ron was a life member of the American Legion Post 22, life member of VFW Post 167, Sons of the American Legion, Vietnam Veterans Inc., U.S. Navy Cruiser Sailors Association. He was a former member of the Forty and Eight and former member of the Brethren of the Coast. He also served on the state American Legion committee for POW/MIA. Ron is survived by his wife, Judy Savidge Ermlick of Charleroi; son, Richard L. Ermlick of Charleroi; daughter, Kimberly (Ryan) Redman of Charleroi; grandchildren, Richard J. Ermlick, John T. Ermlick and Calla C. Redman; sisters, Brenda Kosanko, Vicki Seftas, Carrie Romesburg, Maureen Chuboy, Shelby Bell and Kelly Showman; sister-in-law, Nancy S. Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Robert E. Ermlick. A gathering of friends will begin at 1 p.m. with a memorial service at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, at SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. Upon his wishes Ronald will be buried at sea at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to any charity of your choice in Ronald L. Ermlick’s name will greatly appreciated.
