Three new commissioners were sworn into office Monday in Elizabeth Township along with incumbent Andrew Kuzma. The board then immediately reorganized and held its first regular meeting of 2020.
Magisterial District Judge Beth Mills issued the oath of office to Kuzma and newcomers Bart Rocco, Richard Algeri and Dan Poirier.
Commissioner Joanne Beckowitz was the lone dissenting vote in naming Kyle Walk president of the commissioners, with newly-seated commissioner Bart Rocco named vice president.
“It’s been my pleasure to serve on this board for two years. I’m very excited about the new members coming on this board. There are a lot of things that I think we’re going to get done,” Walk said.
The commissioners voted to keep Racunas Law Group LLc as the solicitor and KLH Engineers as the township engineering firm.
