Robert James Dragone, 59, of Charleroi, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020, in his home. He was born June 29, 1960, in North Charleroi, the son of the late James and Margaret Louella Griffith Dragone Jr. Bob was a graduate of Charleroi High School. For 19 years, he was employed at Eat’n Park Restaurant in Monongahela and worked several years as a custodian for the Monongahela Area Library. Bob enjoyed sports, family functions and cookouts. He is survived by his son, Edward “EJ” Dragone of Monongahela; two brothers, James Dragone of Florida and Jeffrey Dragone and wife Jean of Charleroi; two sisters, Margaret and husband Daniel Flint Jr. of Monongahela and Patricia Dragone of New Eagle; nieces and nephews, Tina Dragone and fiancé Nick Condon, Joshua Dragone, Rebecca McKee and husband David, Samuel Flint and wife Ashley; great-nieces and great-nephews, Addison “Baby Girl” and Logan Condon, Kaleb Feld, Aiden Breinig, Brooke and Olivia McKee. Bob will be sadly missed by his extended family. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, at FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 West Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, with the Pastor Jim Watts officiating. Interment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Frye Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
