Justina “Jay” E. Lombardi Santoro, 95, of Belle Vernon, passed away Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020, at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born Dec. 21, 1924, in North Belle Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Guido and Fina Quiriconi Lombardi. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Santoro was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, was a homemaker, a member of the Belle Vernon Golden Age Assembly, enjoyed gardening, baking, playing cards, and reading romance novels. Justina always looked forward to spending time with her family and most of all her grandchildren. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Ronald J. and Donna L. Santoro of Belle Vernon; daughter and son-in-law, Jami Lynn and Max L. Chywski of Donora; four grandchildren, Adam Santoro and Meredith Burke, Abby and Ryan Santoro-Rehula, Brett and Helena Chywski and Connor Chywski; great-grandson Miles A. Chywski and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferdinand “Fred” F. Santoro; son, Anthony R. Santoro; sister, Amelia Kolodychak and an infant brother at birth. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 6, in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Joel Boco as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the Rosary for the departed soul of Justina Santoro at 3 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
