A 47-year-old Monessen man who barricaded himself inside his Westmoreland Drive home for 10 hours on New Year’s Eve was charged with multiple crimes Thursday.
Monessen police Officer Brian Mickens said he had six interactions with Jason G. Johnson in the hours leading up to the standoff Tuesday night.
According to the affidavit written by Mickens, the first incident occurred at Rite Aid where Johnson allegedly yelled at another customer who was talking about his military service.
Next, Mickens wrote, he was called to By George, where Johnson was allegedly confronting three younger patrons.
“I removed and spoke with Johnson outside of the establishment and he rambled on about who he was and what he did and (he) wouldn’t be punked by anyone,” Mickens wrote.
