Shawndel Adair Samoda Muro, 46, of Belle Vernon, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020, at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born May 25, 1973, in Mt. Pleasant, she was the daughter of Carolyn Samoda Cherocci and step-father James Cherocci of Belle Vernon. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Shawndel was a member of Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene and was retired from Big Lots in Belle Vernon. She is survived by her three daughters, Courtney Samoda, Falyn Samoda and Hannah Samoda, all of Belle Vernon; a sister and brother-in-law, Shelley Samoda and Denny Long of Belle Vernon; a niece, Christina Barcus of Belle Vernon; and a nephew, Colton Hepple. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alan G. Muro; maternal grandparents, William and Martha Samoda; and maternal step-grandfather Fred Fay. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183, followed by funeral services at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev. Patty Smith of Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Shawndel Muro to the funeral home.
