It was a game of two halves for Ringgold Friday night.
The Rams dominated the first 16 minutes before Elizabeth Forward rallied to make things interesting in the second half.
Ringgold, however, found a way to extend its winning streak to five games, holding on for a 68-67 victory over the Warriors in Section 3-4A play.
With the game tied at 67-67, Luke Wyvratt went to the line with 7.2 seconds remaining and hit one of two shots from the free throw line to seal the win for Ringgold (5-1, 1-0).
Wyvratt was an evident difference maker in the fourth quarter, scoring 11 of his game-high 22 points in the frame.
“The big thing was him making the free throw because I know he had to be thinking about the Norwin game,” Pergola said, reffering to Ringgold’s season opener Dec. 6 in which Wyvratt made one of two shots at the free throw line in the final seconds of a 51-50 loss to the Knights.
