With the new year around the corner, Pleasant Hills residents will see three new faces on the borough’s council when officials reorganize Jan. 6.

Newcomers Andy Codelka, Nicole Leckenby and Eileen Solinas will take their seats next month after winning the Nov. 5 general election.

Outgoing members Matthew Miceli, Justin Horvat and Dan Soltesz used this week’s public meeting to express their gratitude and say goodbye, with Solicitor Fred Jug Jr. issuing a proclamation to recognize the trio’s service and commitment to the borough.

Soltesz withdrew his name from the ballot after deciding that running his own grant writing company, Commonwealth Consulting Partners, would be a conflict of interest.

He served two terms, equaling eight years, on council, as well as serving as a member of the Pleasant Hills Volunteer Fire Company.
