Late documents affecting MV Sewage Authority?

By Mon Valley Independent

A member of the Mon Valley Sewage Authority board is concerned that documents aren’t being distributed in a timely manner to allow for informed votes at meetings.

Co-chair of the board Catherine Tucker said she hasn’t gotten the proper papers and reports needed to cast her votes.

While discussing the annual progress report related to the budget, Tucker said she was concerned about the timeliness of receiving the documents. The report was passed out during Friday’s special meeting right before it was time to vote on the matter.

“We should have had these ahead of time so we could go over them,” Tucker said. “Maybe you guys have photographic memories; maybe all of you do. I don’t remember everything, but I don’t forget everything either.”

Tucker also alleged she didn’t receive minutes from November’s meetings in time.

“I didn’t even know what the agenda was going to be like tonight; it’s a surprise,” Tucker said. “We don’t get our paperwork in time. Are you guys having trouble in the office?”
