A Charleroi woman is facing charges related to the theft of jewelry from a former neighbor.

Haley Melissa Quinn, 26, is charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property in connection with the theft of $5,429 worth of jewelry from her former next door neighbor.

Charleroi police were notified of the theft Nov. 23 by Elizabeth Carrier, who had lived in the other half of a duplex where Quinn lived over the summer. Carrier told police she suspected her former neighbors of taking the jewelry because they were aware that one of her windows did not lock. She had once asked them to enter her apartment through that window when she had forgotten her wallet at home.

Shortly after that incident  Carrier said she noticed small items missing from her home, but had just discovered that she was missing several pieces of jewelry as well.
