BELLE VERNON
Gary Lynn Baker, 66, of Belle Vernon, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, at Havencrest Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carroll Township. He was born on Oct. 25, 1953, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Betty Lou Byrne and Walter Baker. He attended Belle Vernon Area High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Gary was a painter by trade. He is survived by his fianceé, Shirley Martino of West Newton, the light of his life for the past 19 years. He is also survived by three brothers, Craig (Judy) Baker of Stockdale, Tom Byrne of Hudson, Ind., and Tim (Patty) Byrne of Belle Vernon; three sisters, Kathleen Baker, with whom he made his home, and Karen Roberts, both of Belle Vernon, and Tammy (Wilbur) Barickman of Meadville; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Walter, Terry, Larry and Carl Baker, and Georgie Byrne. At Gary’s request, his body was donated to Science Care. There will be no services.
