BVA holding forum for recent graduates

Belle Vernon Area School District wants to know how well it served former students and how well the district prepared them for life after high school.
The district is calling on people who graduated in 2017, 2018 or 2019 to participate in the Belle Vernon Area Alumni Feedback Forum, which is slated for 7 p.m. Thursday in the high school’s media center (formerly the library).
“We are seeking individuals to provide feedback regarding academics, social skills, finances, time management, involvement in extra curricular activities, computer proficiency and more,” school board Director Daniel Engstrom. “There will be poster activities, focus groups and polling.”
Superintendent Dr. Michele Dowell said the administration is planning to use information learned through the forum to shape the curriculum in coming years.
