There will be no tax hike or increase in sewage fees in Elizabeth Township in 2020.

The commissioners Monday approved the budget ordinance, which calls for $7,488,973 in spending in the general fund, with revenues of $7,493,453 and another $4,217,067 for the sewer fund, with $4.4 million in revenue.

Kuzma said the township is ending the year on solid financial footing with a fund balance of approximately $500,000.

Service plaques were given to the three township commissioners who are stepping down at the end of the year. Chris Evans said it has been a pleasure to serve the community, even though it meant time away from his family over the years.

“I’ll still be fire chief, so I’ll still be out and about,” Evans said.
