If a loved one were to need immediate CPR, would you be able to help them? Could you keep them alive until an ambulance arrived?
A CPR session is set for Jan. 7 at Blaine Hill Volunteer Fire Department in Elizabeth Township. It will begin at 6:30 p.m. and last for around two hours.
Hosted by nursing student Mercedesz Boyce-Snyder, it will teach the basics of adult CPR, pediatric CPR, choking prevention and general first aid training, including how to help someone having a stroke or an allergic reaction.
For many registered nurses, professional babysitters or anyone in the medical field, it is essential to renew CPR and first aid licenses every two years.
