Anna Mae O’Brien, 88, of Greenock, passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2019. She was born Sept. 1, 1931, in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late James E. and Anna Kerston McKenna. She was a member of St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Township and the American Cancer society. She was a volunteer for the food bank and the Divine Redeemer office in Elizabeth Township. She was retired from the office of Kenny, Meta, Hilberg, Kane and Brunskill and had previously worked for the Dean of Engineering at State College and the G. C. Murphy Company in McKeesport. She is survived by her son, William (Mary Ann) O’Brien of White Oak; daughters, Kathleen (David) Groll of Murrysville, Margaret (Thomas) Zebrak of Liberty Borough, Maureen Gall of Greenock, and Loretta Tomko of Forward Township; grandchildren, Bill and Jennifer O’Brien, Shannon, Ben and Erin Groll, Patrick Gall, and Andrew, Bryan and Carly Tomko; great-grandchildren, Liam and Molly O’Brien, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia O’Brien; infant daughters, Mary and Mary Ann O’Brien; brothers, Robert J., Larry and Michael (Debbie) McKenna; and sisters, Eileen Kessler and Marion Rufino. There is no visitation. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2019, at St. Michael Parish. The Rev. Thomas Wagner will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles. Arrangements are by the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 6028 Smithfield St., Boston, Elizabeth Township, 412-751-5000, Drew J.
