Faulkner helps SA remain unbeaten

South Allegheny’s Gladiators remained unbeaten early in the season with a 40-28 win at Deer Lakes to open Section 3-3A play.

Omar Faulkner continued his dominant play in the low post for the Gladiators (5-0, 1-0) with a game-high 18 points, 10 rebounds and six blocked shots.

While South Allegheny may not have gotten the offensive game they were looking for, but they handled business defensively, holding the Lancers (2-2, 0-1) to a combined nine points in the second and third quarters.

Wes Degorgio finished with nine points behind three 3-pointers for the Gladiators.

Bryce Robson finished with 10 points to lead the Lancers.
