North Charleroi
Donald Scott Thorne, 54, of North Charleroi, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019. Born on Jan. 15, 1965, he was the son of the late Donald A. Thorne and Patricia Herent Thorne of North Charleroi. He had worked at RockTenn for several years and he had a great love of music while playing in several bands and collecting music memorabilia. He also loved cats and hanging out with his friends and family. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, David C. (Renee) Thorne of North Charleroi; nieces and nephew, Shannon (Chad) Johnson, Jennifer Crabb, Tessa (Trey Lightowler) Thorne, Sierra (David Wollett) Thorne and Dawson Thorne; great-nephew, Sawyer Grey Lightowler; aunts, Ruth Dodds, Bernadette Ohrman, and Francine (Al) Miceli; his four cats; and several cousins. In addition to his father, he is predeceased by aunts, Donna (Sante) Simone and Emma Jane (Walter) Anderson; uncles, John Ohrman and Jim Dodds; and cousins, Tracy Ohrman and Danny Anderson. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16 at CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, in the funeral home followed by interment in Monongahela Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.spallinofuneralhome.com.
