Elinore J. Stearns – New Eagle, formerly of Clairton

Elinore J. Stearns of New Eagle and formerly of Clairton, passed away on her 84th birthday, Dec. 11, 2019, in Jefferson Hospital. Born Dec. 11, 1935, in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Stephanik Dwyer. A former sales clerk for many years at G.C. Murphy and Co. in Clairton, Elinore was a member of St. Damien of Molokai Parish in Monongahela. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Stearns, who passed away Dec. 6, 2000; and her sister, Louise Smith. Elinore is survived by her daughter Lorrie (Scott) Bellavance of New Eagle; her three grandchildren, Tabitha (Joe) DeBerry, Brianna Romero and Scott Bellavance; her six great-grandchildren, Danika and Coltyn DeBerry, Izabella and Zayla Romero, Waylon DeBerry and Veronica Bellavance; her siblings, Betty Morally of Baldwin, Ruth Clarke of Wexford, Donald Dwyer of Jefferson Hills and Harold Dwyer of Westmoreland City; along with nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at A.J. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, 555 Fifth St., Clairton, PA 15025, 412-233-5700, from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 2019. Procession and burial will follow to Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills. www.bekavacfuneralhome.com.
