On Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, God sent his Heavenly angels down to carry his chosen one, Reverend Beverly L. Wilkerson, 62, of Monongahela to her Heavenly home. She was born in McKeesport on Oct. 24, 1957, a daughter of the late James E. Brownlee and Lenora A. Moore-Brownlee. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John Lester and James Cecil Moore; two sisters, Catherine Elaine and Marlene Annette Brownlee; and one granddaughter, MyLah Marie Satterfield. Beverly graduated from Ringgold High School in 1976 and then attended Mon Valley School of Allied Health, where she received a certificate in phlebotomy. She worked as a phlebotomist for nine years at Washington Hospital in Washington, Pa., and Southwestern PA Behavioral Health Services for 20 years as an intake coordinator/director of the social rehabilitation day program. Beverly was a member and ordained as an associate minister at Bethlehem Baptist Church in McKeesport under the leadership of Pastor Earlene Coleman on April 18, 2010. She was the assistant ministry leader of Twisted Hearts Women’s Ministry, missionary, Allegheny County Jail Foundation of HOPE, Healing Streams Ministry and attended B.B.C. Academy. She was a former member of First Baptist Church in Donora, where she accepted her calling in 2004, under the leadership of Pastor Mark S. Tookes. While at First Baptist, she was the leader of Women’s Prison Ministry, minister of Youth Ministry, deaconess and prayer intercessor. Beverly’s passion was for outreach ministry and to see lives transformed through the word of God. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her husband, Charles Wilkerson of Monongahela; one son, Andros and wife Jennifer Wilkerson of Pittsburgh; three daughters; Tiona Wilkerson of Monongahela, Amber Satterfield of Washington, D.C., and Crystal Keith of Monongahela; three brothers, Carl E. Moore and Shelia Traynham of Suitland, Md., Charles E. Brownlee and fiancée Michelle Smith of Cleveland, Ohio, and Robert A. and wife Angela Brownlee of Indian Trail, N.C.; two sisters; Tina Y. and husband Bryan Lawson of Donora and Cynthia Louis of Donora; seven grandchildren, Malachi Pearson, Tylee, Omar and Joseph Satterfield, Noah and Sanai Keith and William Tolliver Jr.; three dear aunts; Dorothy Lyle of New Kensington, Pastor Dorothy Reeves of Wilmerding and Almeda Pryor of Donora; two god-sisters; Donna Majors of Ohio and Lenora Strover of Ohio; three god-children; Vaugh Crews of Donora, Chyna Majors of Ohio and Darien Macklin of Pittsburgh; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Beverly will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2019, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 716 Walnut St., McKeesport. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019. Eulogy will be given by Pastor Earlene Coleman, pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church, McKeesport. The service will be followed by interment in Monongahela (Pa.) Cemetery. Final celebrations are entrusted to MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, Marshall Marra, funeral director, Bryan Lawson, assistant director.
