Monessen’s Physical Therapy Institute will hold a toy drive tonight to collect items for the Salvation Army.

Starting at 6 p.m., Santa will be on hand to accept gifts of toys from children at PTI’s 1 Monongahela St. location, next to By George’s restaurant.

There will be cookies and apple cider, said Alicia Galis, PTI manager, in addition to hot dogs fresh off the grill.

The event is sponsored by PTI and the Mon Valley Independent, with help from Ronna Lynn and George Apodiakos, owners of By George.

There will be four baskets up for grabs in a raffle and one gift certificate for By George. Everyone who attends will receive five tickets to place in the pot for whichever prizes they’d like to win.
