Randy J. Anthony, (known to friends as DJ Rockit Randy), 62, of Monongahela passed away at his home surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019. Randy was born on Feb. 25, 1957 in New Eagle, the son of the late Donald and Lorraine Pergola Anthony. He is survived by the love of his life, Amy Coppi Anthony, with whom he celebrated 37 years of marriage on Sept. 11; his daughter, Amanda (Adam) Thompson of Smithton; his granddaughter, Addie Mae Thompson; two brothers, Louis Anthony (Donna McGrew) of New Eagle and Louis (Kristin) Pergola of Speers; half-brother, Bobby Anthony of West Virginia, and half-sister, Dorinda Espada of Indiana; his brother-in-laws, Jeff Coppi of Virginia and Larry Coppi of Monongahela; sister-in-law, Kathy (Bob) Telegraphis of Monongahela; and special people that have been so supportive to Randy during his lengthy illness: uncles, Bert Cushey of Florida and Alex “Butch” Withers of Monongahela; cousins, Brenda Cushey and Audrey Dorsen of Florida; and nephew and niece, Adam and Alaina Telegraphis of Monongahela. Randy was a graduate of Ringgold (Monongahela) Class of 1976. He worked at numerous plumbing and heating companies in sales in Washington, DC and in the surrounding Pittsburgh area for over 35 years and was self-employed for a few years as Rockit Randy DJ Services LLC. Randy was an avid music and Pittsburgh sports fan, and he enjoyed traveling and family gatherings. He was preceded in death by his parents; three half-brothers, Jimmy Anthony, Wayne Anthony, and Ronnie Anthony; and a niece, Ashley Deems Ugoletti. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767 from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec.13, at which time services will begin with close friend, Father Doug Boyd officiating.
