Irene Watkinson, 103, of Charleroi, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019. Born on July 25, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Catherine Marchinetti. She was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church and loved playing cards, going to The Meadows Casino, and polka. She is survived by her sons, John (Susan) Watkinson of New Hampshire, Gene (Karen) Watkinson of Henderson, Nev., and Barry (Jean) Watkinson of McMurray; grandchildren, Tammy (Terry) Collins, Terry “TJ” (Anne Marie) Watkinson, Bridget Butcher, Jennifer (Kirk) Taylor, Christopher (Michele) Watkinson, Anne (Anthony) Degerolamo, Laura Watkinson, Kevin McManus, and Marci (Todd) Klinger; great-grandchildren, Morgan Tilton, Trevor and Travis Collins, Hunter and Hannah Watkinson, Logan Butcher, Brenna Lamendola, Justin and Haley Taylor, Jackson and Leah Degeralamo, and Dylan and Leah Klinger; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Watkinson, in 1976; and siblings, Gino, Mary, Josie, Della, Joe and Ida. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12 at CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION, 819 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec.13, in Mary, Mother of the Church, Charleroi, with entombment following in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
