BVA school board sets committees for 2020

Several Belle Vernon Area School Board committees have been restructured in order to more efficiently address the needs of the school district.
After the Dec. 2 reorganization of the newly elected school board directors, the restructuring of the committees was next on the list.
The governance, finance and operations committee has been discontinued to ensure all board members have the opportunity to review and discuss all decisions related to budget, policy and operations.
The change stemmed from requests by directors who have a desire to stay “abreast of things,” according to a handout made available at Tuesday night’s work session.
