McKeesport AMVETS Post 8 and the City of McKeesport teamed up Saturday for a ceremony remembering all those who were killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941.
The event was moved this year from the Palisades to the AMVETS clubhouse on Lawrence Avenue in the Highland Grove neighborhood.
Veterans who attended also took time to remember the lives of Vincent J. Kapoi Jr. and Roldan A. Agustin.
Kapoi, a 30-year-old metals inspector, and Agustin, a 49-year-old shop planner who served in the Navy and was retired from the Army National Guard, were working on a dry dock at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam on Wednesday when machinist Gabriel Romero opened fire, according to Naval investigators.
A third victim, who has only been identified as a 36-year-old male, was injured and has been hospitalized. He was last listed in stable condition.
