Howard Hanna Simon Chow Chow tradition continues

The annual Chow Chow Luncheon at Howard Hanna Simon Real Estate Services in Rostraver Township has come a long way since it began 21 years ago.
The tradition, which attracts more than 200 people each year, will continue at noon Friday at the Cedarbrook Golf Course Clubhouse Grille near the intersection of state Route 51 and I-70 in Rostraver Township.
Doors will open at 11 a.m. Tom Simon, Howard Hanna owner/broker, said the luncheon started in 1998 as a small office event where employees brought a covered dish.
“Now we have more than 200 people every year, with sometimes standing room only,” Simon said.
As always, the event will benefit Monongahela Valley Hospital in Carroll Township.
For the 14th year, proceeds directly go to the hospital’s Children’s Free Care Fund, which provides lifesaving health care to children in need around the Mon Valley.
