Bernadette Ann Fusco Simon – Monongahela

Bernadette Ann Fusco Simon, 70, of Monongahela, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019, in Mon Valley Hospital. Born in New Eagle on Feb. 22, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Armand and Frances Vincent Fusco. Bernie was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. She worked for various drug stores and pharmacies in the Valley, ending her career with Gabler’s and Rite Aid in Charleroi. Bernie was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed spending the holidays with family and friends, reading and playing Words with Friends. She is survived by her husband, Ian Simon and her daughter, Eva Marie Simon, both of Monongahela; one sister, Armeda and her husband Joseph Synkowski of Monongahela; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Marty Mallit of Murrysville; a nephew, Dr. Jordan Synkowski; and two nieces, Dr. Emily Kryger and Melanie Mallit. As per Bernie’s wish funeral services are private. The ROBERT A. BILLICK FUNERAL HOME, Monessen, www.billicksfuneralhome.com has been entrusted with the arrangements.
