Sadie Marie Hester Jackson, 102, of McKeesport, was called home to be with the Lord on Nov. 16, 2019. She was the beloved daughter of the late John and Katherine Steele. Sadie leaves to cherish her memory, her goddaughter, Priscilla Wallace Lamb of Southfield, Mich.; her adopted niece, dedicated supporter, Clarrissa Wallace; a host of special friends in McKeesport; and a loving church family at Zion Baptist Church in McKeesport. Sadie was preceded in death by her daughter, Audrey Marie Hester Carter; and seven siblings, John Steele Jr., Carsal Steele, Clyde Steele, Raymond Steele, Pauline Combs, Elizabeth Allen, and Virgil Christian. Funeral services: 10 a.m. visitation Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019, 11 a.m. Going Home service, at Zion Baptist Church, 1300 Locust St., McKeesport. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, DONATIONS CAN BE SENT IN SADIE’S NAME DIRECTLY TO ZION BAPTIST CHURCH BUILDING FUND AT THE ADDRESS LISTED ABOVE. Final celebration has been gently placed in the hands of the HOUSE OF JACKSON MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 546 Thompson Ave., Donora, Karl Jackson, Funeral Director, 724-379-5420.
