Betty Jane Lomago Parsons, formerly of Monongahela, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Monday, Nov. 11, 2019 in Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pa. at the age of 79. Born in Van Voorhis, to the late George Sr. and Julia Lomago. Betty attended Monongahela High School and has resided in Levittown since 1963 where she was an active member of Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church for over 30 years. Betty was the beloved wife for 61 years of Thomas C. (‘TP’) ; and loving mother of Kimberly Scanlon (John) and James Parsons (Bonnie). She is the devoted Buba (grandmother) of Linsay Workman (Dave), Jamie Jannotta (Dante), Megan Bradish (Scott), Jessica, Rory and Erin Scanlon; and the proud great-grandmother of Makayla, Giuliana, Carter, Emilee, Ava, Dante, Quinn and Ben. Born one of 11 children, Betty is also survived by her brothers, Steve Lomago (Joann) of Johnstown and Frank Lomago (Judi) of Monongahela, she will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Friends will be received from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday Nov. 23, at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com, at which time a Panachida Service will begin with Father Edward Pehanich (St. Nicholas Orthodox Church) officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
