Kristian M. “Hodge” Hodgson, 47, of Monongahela, died unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019, in Monongahela Valley Hospital from health complications. He was born May 6, 1972, in Jeannette Hospital and was the son of Alice Ann Colombo Hodgson and the late Charles I. Hodgson. Following his graduation in 1990 from Ringgold High School, Kris pursued his passion for hockey and was one of 125 free agent players worldwide invited to the NHL Open Invitational tryout. He played for Ringgold, USA Hockey and many other adult league ice and dek hockey teams. Kris mentored and coached players in the Mon Valley Youth Hockey program and Elizabeth Forward High School Ice Hockey. He had a love for motorcycles and a loyalty to his family and friends. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Trevor M. Hodgson of Springdale, whom he loved more than anything; a brother, Kurt Hodgson of Monongahela; his two former wives, with whom he remained close, Danielle Farquhar of Monongahela and Alexis Repass of Rostraver Township; and his closest friends, Floyd “Butch” Chew, John Harbaugh, Ross Blaner and Paul Blaner. Friends will be received at Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Condolences can be made online to Kris at marshallmarrafuneralhome.com.
