Two people from West Newton and a woman from Fayette County pleaded guilty in Westmoreland County Court Monday to illegally obtaining prescription drugs for illicit use, according to state Attorney General Josh Shapiro.
Shapiro said Sabrina Thomas, 27, of Fairbank and Jacqueline Keys, 33, and Adam Fincik, 35, both of West Newton, entered guilty pleas before Westmoreland County Judge Meagan Bilik-DeFazio Monday during what was originally scheduled as a status conference.
Thomas is the former office manager for Dr. Nabil Jabbour, a Greensburg physician who on Sept. 27, 2018, was indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh on charges of unlawful distribution of Buprenorphine, maintaining a drug-involved premises, health care fraud and money laundering.
Buprenorphine is an opioid used to treat opioid addiction, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control.
