Funeral services were held for Betty E. Hall, 100, of Monongahela, who passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019, in her home. Born Oct. 23, 1919, in Donora, she was the daughter of Joseph and Tessie Bagoly Veres. A graduate of Charleroi High School, Betty had worked as a custodian until her retirement for the Ringgold School District at Carroll Middle School. She was a member of the former New Life Assembly of God Church in Brownsville. Betty enjoyed life and spending time with her family; she loved to garden, cook and bake. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Charlie Hill of Donora and Donna and Andrew Tatar of Monongahela; five grandchildren, Dana (David) Matos, John (Ruby) Hill, Ben (Gretchen) Hill, Melissa Tatar and Justin (Jennifer) Tatar; and 16 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were three husbands, John Guzy, who died July 4, 1955; Edward Ludwig, who died in 1977; and Raymond Hall, who died in 1992; a brother, Joseph Veres; and two sisters, Irene Parish and Mary Koscelek.
