James A. ‘Jumbo’ Myrga – Newell

James A. “Jumbo” Myrga, 79, of Newell, passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2019, at Havencrest Nursing Center, Caroll Township. He was born July 24, 1940, in Newell, son of Andrew Myrga and Elizabeth Albert Myrga. He was retired from Allied Chemical, Newell, Interstate Paper and Wal-Mart. He was a member of the Newell United Methodist Church. He is survived by his four children, daughter, Beth S. Myrga, at home, son, J. Brian Myrga of Newell, daughter, Jill Bakos of Perryopolis and son, Brad Myrga of Newell; brother, Ronald Myrga of LaPlata, Md.; sister, Andrea Wilson of Perryopolis; grandson, Brandon J. Myrga; granddaughter, Bryanna N. Bakos; grandson, David O. Silva; grandson, Vincent B. Silva; grandson, Austin Myrga; and granddaughter, Kaylee McCardell. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Elizabeth Myrga, on Jan. 12, 2019. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2019, at ELEY-MCCRORY FUNERAL HOME, Fayette City, www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, at the funeral home with Pastor Frank Todaro officiating. Interment will follow in the LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA 15415.
