New Court Time owner wants kids to enjoy playing

The new owner of Court Time Sports Center in Elizabeth Township wants today’s children to have the same opportunities he had growing up — a chance to participate in a variety of sports and activities.

“Maybe one kid will go on to be a professional, but you can reach thousands and thousands of kids by letting them play,” said David Marx, who took over the Court Time Sports Center in September.

Court Time Sports offers three full-size basketball courts, four volleyball courts and options to turn portions of the facility into batting cages, indoor soccer facilities, kickball fields and more.

“This place is so versatile. I want to get kids participating,” Marx said. “I’m getting kickball teams together and dodgeball. It doesn’t take the skill level (of other sports). I want to do stuff that everyone can participate in.”
