Unofficial enrollment numbers could mean a few of our local schools could see some movement when it comes to various sports.

The biggest change could be in football as McKeesport once again falls under the Class 4A enrollment. This season and last season, the Tigers chose to play up in 5A.

Preliminarily speaking, McKeesport head coach Matt Miller admits deciding to play up again or stay in 4A is still in discussion.

One factor that could play into the decision is perennial 6A power Pine-Richland will be moving down to 5A.

Thomas Jefferson, Belle Vernon Area and Ringgold are all slated to remain in 4A.
