Despite still having a whole year of high school soccer ahead of her, Jaime Dermotta had her sights set on committing to a school that fit her aspirations both academically and athletically.

The Serra Catholic junior found the right fit in Slippery Rock University as she will continue her academic and soccer careers at “The Rock.”

Dermotta, who has dreamed of playing collegiate soccer since she began playing at the age of 4, made her commitment on Sept. 1.

“I am extremely excited to be able to continue my athletic and academic career at The Rock,” Dermotta said. “Before committing to Slippery Rock, I attended a lot of college soccer ID camps over the past several years. Slippery Rock stood out above all other schools and I was able to easily choose SRU.”
