Thomas Jefferson High School students and staff will show their appreciation to area veterans by hosting a Veterans Day ceremony on Nov. 11.

The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. with reserved parking for veterans and families and light refreshments in the school’s LGI room. The ceremony will move outdoors at 9 a.m. with a dedication of the school’s War Memorial, with all five branches of the U.S. military to be recognized.

There will be speeches from Maj. Michael Thatcher, Steve Mitrisin and Patrick Donahue, student remarks and tributes, as well as musical performances by the TJHS band and choir. Honored guests will include American Legion Riders Post 712, veterans and local first responders.
