Mini grant helps stock Little Free Library at St. Sebastian

St. Sebastian Regional Catholic School will be home to the Mon Valley’s newest Little Free Library.

Thanks to a Town to Town Mini Grant given by the Mon Valley Alliance Foundation, the school will be able to purchase materials for the students to build and maintain a Little Free Library in the newly constructed public serenity garden that was finished earlier this year.

The serenity garden, a project led by third- and fourth-grade students last year and finished by area Boy Scouts, was aimed to connect the school with the community.

The garden features a sitting area, bird bath, birdhouse, a variety of flowers and a student-grown herb garden. Students and community members both use the space.
