When taking a gander at the list of 2019 All-WPIAL girls soccer players, it’s hard not to notice the amount of representation from the Mon Valley.

Twelve local players from six different teams were named to the team, including three each from WPIAL semifinalist Bentworth and the WPIAL Class 2A runnersup from Yough.

Bentworth seniors Jocelyn Timlin, Paige Marshalek and Rori Schreiber, three of the top goal scorers in program history, earned recognition along with the Yough trio of seniors Justine Appolonia, Amber Biros and Gianna Appolonia.

Timlin, who scored seven goals during Bentworth’s run through the WPIAL playoffs, finished her illustrious career with over 150 career goals after finishing third in the WPIAL with 43 goals during the regular season. Timlin is the all-time leading goal scorer in program history.
