Jennie P. Puhnaty Grados – Belle Vernon
Jennie P. Puhnaty Grados, 87, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2019, at McMurray Hills Manor, McMurray. Born March 24, 1932, in California, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Alex and Catherine Sevanich Puhnaty. Mrs. Grados was a member of the Little Redstone Presbyterian Church, Fayette City, where she was an active member of the church and past president of Fayette City Women’s Club. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, playing cards, cleaning and spending every Monday afternoon with her childhood best friend, Dorothy. Jennie wasn’t much of a traveler, but for the last several years of her life, she was a traveling grandma making her home between Canonsburg and Grindstone. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her loyal cat, Ava. The last surviving member of her family, she is survived by her four children, Michael Grados and wife Susan of Sarasota, Fla., Kathy Hawker and husband Mel of Grindstone, Steven Grados of Carroll Township, Jennifer Russo and husband Brian of Canonsburg; nine grandchildren, Amanda and Denny Bickel, Collin Grados and Hannah Barnes, Melissa and Anthony Brooks, Cori and William Constantine, Alex Grados, Royce Grados, Steven Grados, Zachary Russo, Carter Russo; eight great-grandchildren, two brothers-in-law, Nick Grados and wife Lynn, Robert Grados and wife Arlene; two sisters-in-law, Gloria Lofink and husband William, Joan Cunningham; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick N. Grados and 10 siblings. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183, followed by funeral services at 7 p.m. in the funeral home with the Pastor Joshua Scully officiating. Private family interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery on Saturday.
